Obituary for Barry L. Williams

Barry L. Williams, 75, of Ginter, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
Born on August 29, 1943 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late William G. and Ruth (Carson) Williams.
On August 14, 1965, he married his high school sweetheart, Lorraine (Srock) Williams, who survives.
He was the proud father of four daughters, Pamela (Doug) Butler, Lori (Jody) Murawski, Amy (Mark) Oghalai, and Kimberly (Bill) Fox, and grandfather to nine grandchildren, Abby Butler, Brent Butler, Jake Murawski, Ben Murawski, Emily Murawski, Aidan Oghalai, Jack Oghalai, Kate Fox, and Lucy Fox. He is also survived by two brothers, William Williams and David Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Drew Williams.
He graduated from Moshannon Valley High School in 1961. He was a member of the Ramey United Methodist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a registered surveyor for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was also a flagman at Clearfield, Huntingdon, Houtzdale, and Jennerstown speedways. He loved God, his family, and the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a member of Osceola Masonic Lodge, the Mosquito Creek Sportsman Club, Snow Shoes Rails to Trails, the Morann Citizen’s Club, and the NRA.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, November 15, at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the Ramey United Methodist Church. Pastor Clare Pannebaker will officiate.
