Obituary for Marie Hamilton Stoner

Marie Hamilton Stoner, 85, of Ginter, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born on December 26, 1931 in Ginter, she was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Sarah J. (Ream) Lovell.

She was a graduate of Madera High School. Marie was a retired business owner. A member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Lion’s Club, where she was a past officer, and a member and past officer of the Mountz Memorial Park Board.
Marie's door and heart was always open to her family, friends and animals of any kind. As an avid animal lover, she lovingly raised her horses, dogs, cats and tended to any injured animal in need. She also took pride her wild birds and flower gardens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Francis Hamilton and Ren Stoner.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Ron (Diane) Hamilton of Philipsburg, and Cindy (Ed) Flango of Ginter; three step-children, Steve Stoner of Tyrone, Cindy Bennett-Hedberg of Sinking Valley, and Joy Ealy of Greenville; grandchildren Craig and Kristi Flango, Russell Hamilton, Melissa Frank, Barbara Johns, Jeremiah, Benjamin, Rebecca and Brittany Hamilton; step-grandchildren Tobi Munshower, Eric Bennett, Thomas Hedberg Jr., Michael Stoner, Amanda Ealy; and eight great grandchildren.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to your local animal shelter.
