Obituary for Peter Wasilko

Peter Wasilko, 87, of Smithmill and DeBary, FL, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2017 in Central Florida Hospital.

Born on April 5, 1929 in Smithmill, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Dobish) Wasilko.

He was a 1947 graduate of Bigler Twp High School. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Vladimir Orthodox Church. He was a member of American Legion Post 591 in Houtzdale, VFW Post 3450 Philipsburg, and the B.P.O.E Lodge 1173 in Philipsburg.

Peter is survived by two children, Jeffrey Wasilko and Wanda Wasilko, two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Chronister and Mary Gotesch, and six brothers, Nick, Samuel, Mike, Frank, Charles, and George Wasilko.

Family will receive friends Saturday 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM in Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Fr. Paul Bigelow will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery.
