Obituary for Kathryn Marie "Kathy" Hamm

Kathryn M. “Kathy” Hamm, 61, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA, after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer.

Kathy graduated in 1972 from Moshannon Valley High School and in 1974 from DuBois Business College with an Associate Degree in Higher Accounting and Business Administration.

She retired in 2006 from the Dep’t of Labor and Industry as the Manager of the UC Tax Office in Clearfield. Prior to becoming manager, she was a UC Tax Agent and a secretary for the UC office. She was a member of the Administrative Board, choir, Womens’ Group, Trustee, and a volunteer cleaning person.

She enjoyed board games, crosswords, cards, reading, JIGSAW PUZZLES, and spending time with children. She believed time spent with a child was time well spent.

She is also survived by a special aunt, Monabelle Nevling, with whom she spent time walking in their younger days, and by a special friend of 45 years (mystery man).

She will be remembered for her wit and ability to come off with short sayings to make everyone laugh. She always saw humor in most situations.
