Obituary for George A. Poshedly

George A Poshedly, 59, of Coalport, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Sunday, November 29, 2015.

Born on September 28, 1956 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late John E. and Mary A. Poshedly.

He is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Thomchick of State College, and Cecelia Sterling (Chuck) of Manassas, VA. He is also survived by a nephew, John J. “J.J.” Thomchick, who lives in Boston.

George graduated from the Glendale High School in 1974 and was employed for 39 years at the King Coal Sales in Philipsburg. His interests included music and astronomy. One of his greatest pleasures was driving around in his pick-up truck to visit friends and relatives. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and generous person.

Friends will be received at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral Home in Ramey from 6 – 8 p.m., on Thursday, December 3. A funeral prayer service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, December 4, at the funeral home with Fr. Zab Amar officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Catholic cemetery in Ramey.
