Harry Yebernetsky


Harry Yebernetsky, 84, of Glen Hope, passed away at 11:54 PM, Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his residence.

Harry was born on April 24, 1929, at Madera, a son of the late Wasco and Annie (Peslipsky) Yebernetsky.

He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey and served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in the Korean War.

For 39 years Harry was the owner operator of the Yebernetsky Mink Ranch of Glen Hope. He was a life member of the Richard L. Beers VFW Post 7043, Blain City; a life member National Rifle Association, and life member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association and National Trappers Association.

On April 23, 1955, at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Harry married Delores Ann Slinkosky Yebernetsky who survives of Glen Hope.

Harry is survived by a son and daughter, Gregory (Beverly) Yebernetsky of Hedgesville, WV and Diane (Jerry) Belgin of Coalport.



He is also survived by four grandchildren, Benjamin (Audra) Yebernetsky, Autumn Yebernetsky, Sarah Belgin and Samantha Belgin; and a great grandson, Andrew Yebernetsky.

Harry is survived by three siblings; George Yebernetsky of Madera; Kathryn Youhon of Brisbin; and John (Helen) Yebernetsky of DuBois.



In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by the following siblings, Annie Daniel, Wasco "Lefty" Yebernetsky, Mike Yebernetsky, Mary Fetchu, Evelyn Checkaneck, Margaret Kitko and Nancy Wasilko.

Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He was a metal detector enthusiast and coin collector. He was know for holding and attending area flea markets

Friends will be received on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Friday, Oct. 25, from 8:30 - 9:30 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc Ramey. A Parastas Service will be sung on Thursday at 7:30 PM at in the funeral home by Fr. Anthony Balistreri.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 25 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church , Ramey with Fr. Anthony Balistreri officiating.

Interment Services will follow in St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery Ramey, with full military honors accorded by the Richard L. Beers V.F.W. Honor Guard.
