Stanley M. Jury


Mr. Stanley M. Jury, 58, of Osceola Mills, PA went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 5:46 AM at Clearfield Hospital, Clearfield, PA.

Born in Clearfield on August 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Linus and Gladys (Parks) Jury.

Mr. Jury graduated from the Philipsburg Osceola Mills High School in 1970. He was an owner & manager of the Ramey General Store since 2007. He had worked at Marathon Equipment in maintenance for fifteen years. Previously he had worked for Meyer Brothers, Paul Gable & Sons, and Glen-Gary Brick all of Clearfield. He also was a self employed electrician.

He wed his wife, the former Paulette (Verdavoir) Stombaugh of Bellevue, OH on April 8, 2000 in Bellevue, OH

He was an Elder and Trustee of the Son-Rise Fellowship Church of Houtzdale.

Mr. Jury is survived four sons and one daughter: Shawn Jury and his wife Adrienne of Philipsburg, Brian Jury of Bellevue, OH., Richard Stombaugh and his wife Melissa of Bellevue, OH., Joseph Stombaugh and his wife JoAnn, of Fremont, OH and Cassandra Stombaugh of Bellevue, OH. Eight grandchildren also survive.



He is survived by his step-mother, Janice Jury of Bigler.

Also surviving are the following siblings: David Jury and his wife Linda of Philipsburg, Allen Jury and his wife Marge of Philipsburg, John Jury and his wife Elsie of Clearfield, Lynn Jury of West Decatur, Barbara Post and her husband Glen of Frenchville, Darlene Knepp and her husband Merlin of FL., Rev. Charles Jury and his wife Janet of Clearfield, Brenda Gearhart and her husband Jeff of West Decatur, Tammy Jury of Brockway, Karen Cartwright of West Decatur, Kimberly Bacher and her husband Walter of Clearfield, Tammy Greene and her husband Terry of Shiloh, Darlene Peters and her husband Brian of Allport, Brenda Titus and her husband Terry of West Decatur, Ron Jury and his wife Kendrea of Bigler and Mike Jury of Bigler. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Jury is preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, the former Nancy Ann Corman who he wed in 1971 and who died in 1992.



Friends will be received at the Kruise Funeral Homes, Inc., Ramey today, May 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. and on Friday, May 28 from 10 - 11:30 am.

Funeral Services will be held at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc., Ramey, PA, at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 28th, with Pastors James Walk and Charles Jury officiating.
