Margaret (Rusnak) Evcic


Margaret (Rusnak) Evcic, 92, of Ramey, passed away at 11:10 PM, Friday, October 21, 2011 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Margaret was born on April 5, 1919 at Madera, a daughter of the late Michael and Susan (Bondy) Rusnak.

She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church , Ramey and a member of the former Holy Trinity Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Victoria's Court #646, Houtzdale.

Margaret was a homemaker and was affectionately known as Baba.



In June of 1942 she married Joseph P. Evcic, who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1985.

Margaret is survived by two sons Joseph W. Evcic and his wife Nancy of DuBois and Michael A. Evcic and his wife Cindy of State College. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Sarah Evcic, Taylor Evcic and Annie Evcic; four step grandchildren, Dawn Vargo, Maureen Pentz, Roger Hull and James Hull and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by three sisters; Susan Baylin, Mary Rusnak and Elizabeth Rusnak; six brothers; Mike, Steve, George, Frank, Joe and John.

Friends will be received on Tues. Oct. 25 from 3-7 PM and on Wed. Oct. 26 from 9-10:30 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas will recite the Rosary at 3:30 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wed. Oct. 26 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Ramey. Condolences may be sent to; condolences@kruisefuneralhome.com
