Rose M. (Lutz) Vereshack


Mrs. Rose M. (Lutz) Vereshack, 85, of Madera, passed away at 5:10 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.

Born on Sept. 4, 1924 in Ramey she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Whitsura) Lutz.

Mrs. Vereshack was very active and one of the first members of the Church That Meets in Ramey. She volunteered at the Wreck Center in Houtzdale. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother who loved to cook and care for her family, her church and her friends.

She retired in 2000 as a cafeteria cook from the Moshannon Valley Elementary School after 19 years service. She also worked for 10 1/2 years at the former Pine Grove Dairy Lunch Iraca Restaurant, Madera.

On Aug. 3, 1941 in Houtzdale, she married Victor "Abner" Vereshack, Sr., he preceded her in death on March 21, 1993.

Mrs. Vereshack is survived by four children; Victor Vereshack, Jr. and his wife Arlene of Springdale, Martin Vereshack and his wife Darlene of Smoke Run, Michael Vereshack and his wife Darlene of Smoke Run and Teresa Litz of Dover, Delaware.

She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, David Vereshack, Vicki Zendek, David Litz, Jr., Jason Vereshack, Bruce Vereshack, Joe Vereshack, Mike Vereshack, Christy Braniff and Ron Lefebvre; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild also survive.

She is survived by two sisters and two brothers; Agnes Rodkey and her husband Leonard of Ramey. Helen Lutz of Ramey, Michael Lutz and his wife Beverly of Ashland and Frank Lutz of Houtzdale. A number of nieces and nephews also survived.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Prince and Mary Vereshack; five brothers, John, Martin, Joe, Victor and Steve Lutz.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Wed., Jan. 20 from 11 AM - 1 PM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey.



Funeral Services will be held on Wed., Jan. 20, at 1:00 PM in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey. Pastor Kevin Howard will officiate and interment will follow in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
