Eleanor (Duke) Yope

Eleanor (Duke) Yope, 88, of Mars, died Monday, November 11, 2013 in Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.

She was born January 16, 1925, in Smithmill, a daughter of the late Andrew and Susan (Adamcik) Duke.

Eleanor was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Ambridge.

Surviving are a daughter, Debra (Charles) Stockdale of Economy, 4 sons, Raymond T. Yope, Richard J. Yope and Edward T. (Kathy) Yope, all of of Harmony Twp., and John R. Yope of Center Twp., 4 grandchildren, Jennifer A. (Khanh) Do of Mars, Christopher R. Yope of Pittsburgh, Eric S. (Amy) Yope of Hopewell Twp., and Brian A. (Emily) Yope of Ambridge, 4 great grandchildren, Aydden Yope, Kaylee Yope, Samuel Yope, and Madison Do.

Eleanor is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Purta, Hinckley, OH and Mildred "Joan" (John) Matia, Smithmill and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Yope, 6 brothers, John, Stephen, Frank, Edward, Leonard, and Joseph and 6 sisters, Susan, Marie, Emma, Ann, Dorothy and Margaret.

Friends will be received Wednesday at the John Syka Funeral Home. Inc., Ambridge. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at the Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Ambridge.



Friends will received on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of Blessing Service at noon in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Ramey. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Ramey.
