Gladys J. (Brown) Davis


Gladys J. (Brown) Davis, 72, of Madera, passed away at 5:48 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on July 27, 1940, at St. Michael, PA a daughter of the late Howard and Catherine (Fuge) Brown.

Gladys worked as a sewing machine operator for various area sewing factories and was a member of the Curwensville MOOSE.

Gladys is survived by a daughter, Teresa M. Gamble and her husband Larry of Tarentum; a son, Harry V. Davis, Jr, and his wife Tina of Smoke Run; and six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.



Gladys is survived by three sisters and a brother, Magarette Conklin and her husband Albert of Hawk Run; Norene Sanker and her husband Gorman of Shiffield, OH; Judy Reams and her husband Eugene of Coal Run; and Howard Brown of Houtzdale. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.



Gladys is also survived by her companion of 30 years, Richard Adam of Madera.

In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by a son, Rick A. Davis; a granddaughter, Autumn Coleman; 4 sisters, Maxine Murray, Viola Wojtowich, Delores Eckley and Irene Brown and brother John Thomas Brown.

At Gladys's request, there will be no public visitation and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
