Olga (Blair) Evansky


Mrs. Olga (Blair) Evansky, 92, of Ginter, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Mt. Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

She was born on April 22, 1918 in Ginter a daughter of the late Desire and Mary (Danielou) Blair.

Mrs. Evansky was a 1937 graduate of the former Houtzdale High School and during W.W.II worked at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh and Erdette Hosiery Mills in Curwensville for the war effort.

On March 13, 1947, in Philipsburg, she married Steve "Queen" Evansky who preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2005.

Mrs. Evansky is survived by her daughter, Loretta Evansky of Ginter.

She was the last of her generation. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert H. Blair, who died April 7, 2010 and Charles Blair.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 10 from 5-8 PM and on Friday, June 11 from 9-11 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc with Rev. Thomas A. McCoy officiating.

Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery, Ramey, PA.
